
Monica has considerable experience working with immigrant families, particularly youth experiencing challenging circumstances. She started as a clinical psychologist at the Pontificia Bolivariana University before starting her own company in Colombia. After establishing residency in the U.S., Monica worked as a Mental Health Therapist, and currently, she is an Equity and Excellence Coordinator in APS - Arlington Career Center. She provides students with the resources necessary to develop behaviors that support academic success. She also creates a safe environment for students to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to race and identity while brainstorming ways to capitalize on diversity. She is a community organizer, an advocate, and soon, a coach for Latinx business leaders
